Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 November 2026

1. Who we are

PayGatePlugin is provided by LIDER-YUG LTD, a company registered in Bulgaria under UIC 205957031, with its registered address at Bulgaria, Plovdiv, 4000, 1 Yan Hus St. (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to any store (“you”, “the Merchant”) that installs the PayGatePlugin WordPress plugin and connects a Stripe account to it.

2. The service

PayGatePlugin is a WooCommerce plugin that lets your store accept online payments through your own Stripe account using Stripe Connect. Payments are created directly on your Stripe account. We do not receive, hold or transfer your customers' funds, except for our fee described in section 4.

3. Your Stripe account

To use PayGatePlugin you must have your own Stripe account and accept Stripe's terms, including the Stripe Services Agreement and the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe is responsible for processing payments. You are responsible for keeping your Stripe account in good standing and for the information you provide to Stripe.

4. Fees

For each successful payment processed through PayGatePlugin, we charge a platform fee of 0.5% of the payment amount. The fee is deducted automatically by Stripe at the time of the payment and transferred to our Stripe account. Stripe's own processing fees are separate and are charged to you directly by Stripe.

We provide a monthly statement of the fees collected. The platform fee of 0.5% is inclusive of any VAT that may apply.

We may change the fee with at least 30 days' written notice by email. If you do not agree to the change, you may stop using PayGatePlugin before it takes effect.

5. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your store, the products and services you sell, your prices, delivery, customer service, refunds and disputes with your customers. You must use PayGatePlugin only for lawful business and in line with Stripe's restricted businesses list. You must not use our service or servers in a way that avoids or reduces the platform fee. Payments made through our service always include the fee described in section 4.

6. Updates and support

We may release updates to the plugin to fix issues, improve security or keep it compatible with WordPress, WooCommerce and Stripe. Support is provided by email at support@paygateplugin.org.

7. Ending the service

You can stop using PayGatePlugin at any time by deactivating the plugin and disconnecting it from your Stripe Dashboard. There is no minimum term. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, if Stripe requires it, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason. Fees for payments made before the end remain due.

8. Liability

PayGatePlugin is provided “as is”. We are not responsible for the operation of Stripe, WordPress, WooCommerce, your hosting or other third-party services. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts in Bulgaria, without affecting any mandatory rights you have under the law of your country.

11. Data processing

When your customers pay through PayGatePlugin, we process their personal data on your behalf as a processor under Article 28 of the GDPR. We process it only to provide the service, keep it confidential, protect it with appropriate security measures, use only the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy, and delete it when no longer needed for the service or our legal obligations. You are the controller and are responsible for informing your customers.

12. Plugin licence and external service

The PayGatePlugin plugin is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later, and is based on open-source code by its original authors. The plugin connects to our servers at paygateplugin.org to create payments with Stripe and to apply the platform fee. Our servers and the service they provide are not covered by the GPL and are provided under these terms.
